GIS and geoDB creation as part of the satellite pollution indicator monitoring system (SIIS) of the industrial area

Project carried out between 2021 and 2022 in collaboration with E-geos on behalf of the ASI Consortium of Benevento.

The project saw the creation of a GIS system including GeoDB and WebGIS functions as part of the Satellite Air Pollution Indicators Monitoring System (SIIS) and testing activities.

In this project GEKO was tasked with carrying out the design and development activities of the system in particular regarding:

Design and implementation of the satellite air quality monitoring subsystem.

Design and implementation of the internal and external satellite environmental monitoring subsystem.

Integration of subsystems into the Integrated Monitoring System.

The platform uses data received from the main satellite constellations (Sentinel-2, Landsat-8, Sentinel-5P, MODIS, COSMO-SkyMed, VIIRS) and statistical and geo-processing services to provide analysis and visualization tools that allow improve the understanding of natural and anthropic phenomena and the monitoring of the area of ​​interest.
